In 2020, increasing awareness of issues such as greenhouse effects and climate change has given sustainability a growing importance in additive chemistry. As early as 2020, we received our first First Climate certificate. In 2023, we wholeheartedly committed to the UN Global Compact, the worldwide initiative for sustainable and responsible corporate governance. At the same time, the development of sustainable products, particularly by replacing synthetic components with bio-based alternatives, is becoming an increasing focus.
Currently, the additive chemistry sector is actively working on implementing the standardized method for calculating the carbon footprint, which was introduced by UEIL (European Lubricants Industry Association) in Q3.
